Secondary 3 Trip to Vietnam 2017
55 Secondary Three students attended the 5D4N Overseas Service Learning Trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 7 March to 11 March 2017. The trip aimed to empower students to practise Values-In-Action, have a better appreciation of other cultures and develop global awareness and cross-cultural sensitivities. The students had a memorable time interacting with the locals, teaching them English as well as art and craft. The students also learnt a lot about hard work while refurbishing the school environment. They had an enriching time visiting the War Museum, the famous Cu Chi Tunnels and taking part in other cultural immersion activities. The diverse range of activities served to expand the students’ leadership capacities by developing in them a spirit of resilience, tenacity and responsibility. It was definitely an impactful and life-changing trip – some students even volunteered to return as mentors for the following year.
