National Schools Literature Festival 2017

The National Schools Literature Festival (NSLF) is a ground-up event that was started in 2005. It is collaboratively organised by teachers from various schools with support from organisations, including the Ministry of Education, National Institute of Education, and National Library Board. The NSLF is the biggest literary festival for students in Singapore and has provided a powerful platform to develop students’ passion and love for literature. The students will be able to take part in events like Book Trailer, Debates and Book Parade, to name a few. The NSLF aims to bring Literature teachers together with a shared mission and purpose. It also aims to provide a platform which teachers can use to enthuse and inspire their students in studying Literature. Hillgrovians did well in this year’s event by coming in third for the Lower Secondary Book Trailer Competition and emerging as champions in the Upper Secondary Set Text Debate.
